I had an issue with my Pentair Tempmaster 400 and Pentair tech support, as well as my next door neighbor, referred me to Steve's Pool and Spa. These guys are fantastic. Steve called me ahead of his arrival, assessed the unit, emailed the results and was very thorough in explaining everything to me. I called Steve's Pool & Spa to see if they could replace my pool light, which didn't work and was more than 20 years old. It was too big of a job for me to do myself, since it involved not only replacing the light fixture itself, but also the wiring. Steve said no problem, asked me a few questions, and scheduled me for the following week. They showed up exactly when they said they would, replaced the light (which required Steve to actually get in the pool), made sure the light worked, and answered several questions that I had. The price was very reasonable! I highly recommend these guys!!
Steve and his crew work miracles! We have some old equipment that Needed repairs and I was not quite ready to replace the unit. Steve found the very scarce parts I needed and was able to help me out. Steve is extremely professional and flexible. They are pros and care about their customers. I will not use anyone else on my future projects. I highly recommend Steve and his team! I had two newer pool lights (Pentair) that where acting up. Both Steves' reached out quickly and came out when expected. Great communication and they fixed both light extremely quickly. This was purely a service call for Pentair warranty, however I would recommend you consider them for any pool needs
I had an all around great experience with both Steve and Pentair warranty service.
The pool builder told me that they would register all my Pentair equipment with the manufacturer, but they didn't. So when my salt cell started to fail and I called Pentair for warranty service, I was surprised to learn none of it was registered. The Service agent told me exactly what I needed to do to activate the warranty. I had to find all my paper work, contracts and serial numbers on the equipment. I submitted it the same night. The next morning I received an email from Pentair saying who my service provider would be. In the email was the WO number and phone for Steve's Pool and Spa. I called and left a message. Steve called me back within 30 minutes... impressive. He informed me that being that we were in the busy season he would have to call me back to let me know when he would be able to come to my house. The very next morning I received a call saying he was able to swing by to service the salt cell if it was ok with me. He arrived 30 minutes later and had completed the service 30 min after that. I'm very impressed with Steve's professionalism, punctuality and expertise. I would highly recommend his pool service. From beginning to end of this process, (from dialing the phone to Pentair to Steve leaving my house with my salt cell replaced), was exactly 48 hours. THATS HOW A BUSINESS IS SUPPOSE TO BE RUN. What can I say about Steve's Pool and Spa that others have not mentioned already? As a general contractor and real estate developer, I have encountered all kinds of contractors from those who show up with a professional mindset to those who show up in a beat up pick up truck in cutoff shorts and a dog. Although that does not say anything about the actual workmanship, it shows the way they operate their business.
I got bids from five different pool installers and Steve's Pool was the only one that showed up on time, gave me the bid in a timely, professional manner. For such a professionally run shop, their pricing was same if not better than their competition - some who refused to do any paperwork, some who quoted over text and some who did not turn in a bid at all. I must say - Steve's pool is a tightly run shop.
I was having a major leak issue with my pool where the pump had started leaking like a sieve. As such, I asked Steve if he could expedite the work schedule. To my surprise, Steve refused, politely, citing the fact that it would be unfair to others who paid in advance and was waiting for their service. For many, this would have turned them off, thinking their problem should be the installer's #1 problem. However, me being a contractor, I realized that Steve values his client's time and his commitment. Even though I didnt get what I needed, I realized that I trusted him even more.
On the day of the installation, both Steves showed up in a timely manner, completed their installation as promised, and gave me a refund for work that could not be completed due to the current configuration. Although it was only $50, to me it spoke volumes since some may just think this amount may be forgotten or looked over.
Needless to say, I will be using Steve for all my pool needs in the future. It is really hard to find a reliable contractor nowadays. I am glad I have him on my speed dial. His service post-installation is phenomenal as well. I am a man of 1000 questions and he has answered all of them to my satisfaction. If you are wondering if you should call him, do so. You wont regret it.

Steve is professional and extremely knowledgable. I will definitely use his services when needed. He initially came out to troubleshoot a pump as he is a Pentair representative and gave me valuable information about my system and things that needed addressing by my Pool builder. I wish I had used Steve's Pool and Spa to build my pool.
We used Steves' Pool & Spa at my rental property recently and couldn't be happier. The customer service that we received was outstanding. The installation part was quick and clean. The pool looks amazing now and my bills are a lot less. In the past we also used them for our personal home & received excellent service. We just installed a pool with Pentair equipment and several issues have come up. We contacted Steve and have been amazed at his technical knowledge and professionalism. I had bought a brand new Pentair variable speed pump after 2 months I had problems so I called Pentair they sent Steve Pool and Spa repair Personnel Steve Krafft and Steve Lasdon over to my house they did a great job!!
They replaced the seal, and made sure it was running good. They were friendly, courteous, and very knowledgeable.
I definitely will call them for problems in the future, with my pool and spa equipment.
They do good work and provide excellent customer service.
This company is the real deal, no gimmicks, no up sell, just honest people giving the best advice on how to deal with your pool/spa problems.
Steve has been to our house twice in one week on two unrelated matters. The first was a faulty salt cell in our Pentair salt system which he promptly replaced. Another company would have told us we needed a whole new system. The second was a few days later when we thought our pump had died. Steve traced the problem back to wiring that had given out over time. He reconnected the wires and the pump was up and running. Again he tried to solve the issues first without trying to sell us a new pump. Our system is only four years old but I am learning that Pentair and Intellichlor products only have a life of 4-5 years.

When my 6 month old pool heater stopped working 7 days before the 4th of July holiday weekend the manufacturer had very little sympathy. I was told it would be at least 10 days before they could get their local rep out to even look into the problem. I asked for any other local Pentair Warranty Service Rep in the area. They gave me Steves' number. Steve answered the phone and immediately expressed his compassion. He said he was not sure at the moment how quickly he would be able to get to it, but if I would be a little patient, and cooperative with access he would try to squeeze me in and said it would be in just a few days. 18 hours later he called me and asked me if he could swing by and take a look. An hour later he had my heater completely fixed after replacing 2 parts. Steve was friendly, knowledgable, and professional. I am very grateful for his quick and pleasant service and would highly recommend him. Thank you Steve!

Steve and Steve and all his guys are great! I just had the guys repair a leaking heater manifold along with replacing the grids in my filter and then a backwash.
I do my own weekly pool maintenance but whenever I run in to a problem or find myself 'under water' by not know how to do something, I call the 'Two Steve's'. They've been helping me out for years and I wouldn't call anyone else.
Steve and Steve recently replaced my pool heater. The price was very competitive and they were great to work with. They even gave me a couple of valuable parts from my older heater that I was able to sell on ebay to help offset the cost. I would definitely us them in the future.
Over the last 40 years, we have engaged in a number of extensive construction and remodeling projects. Most have gone satisfactorily, some more so than others. So when we finally decided to completely renovate our 40-year-old Anthony swimming pool and the surrounding deck, we selected "Steve and Steve" to do the work, since they came highly recommended. Had an issues with my remote not responding. Called Pentair and they recommended Steve & Steve. They had to come out once, replaced my remote and finally was able to get it to work. The cost was reasonable. Was impressed with their sticking to it attitude. Later, called them out due to problems with my heater. They were able to fix that as well. Was infomed that the problems I had with the heater seemed to be related to having a salt water pool, that caused corrosion of metal parts in the heater. Again, they only needed to come out once and found the cost to be a great after all their time, labor and parts that were required to see that the job was done right .

We recently moved to a new home had 25 year old pool plumbing, no cleaner, etc. We had previously used Steve's at our other home and they were very professional. They promptly came and met with us regarding our options on the pool plumbing at the new house which was plumbed backwards. Steve and Steve were always helpful, answered all of our questions and communicated very well with the scheduling of the different subs. We decided to replace all the pool equipment which involved tearing up the pool slab, re-plumbing and installing everything new. We now have a new computer, iPad or iPhone controlled pool/spa with the Pentair Intelliflo Pump which you can adjust the speeds to save electricity! You can even heat the pool or spa if you are away from home. We appreciate Steve's dedication in getting everything running perfectly and we would recommend them highly. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again!!

This is the SECOND time we have used this service; the first time there was a problem with my 80 year-old mother's therapy pool (she literally cannot walk without daily water therapy), and Steve came on an emergency service basis, had to order and replace a major part of the heater (due to inept pool man's dangerously high chlorination, according to Leslie's Pools water analysis), and did so in record time for a reasonable price. This time he came quickly on an emergency basis to our family's rental (and our former family home, which produces needed retirement income for my parents), fixed what turned out to be a relatively minor problem for a reasonable fee, and did so honestly, knowing full-well that we had no clue as to what was wrong, that he had us at his mercy, and that we would have to have done whatever was necessary to maintain the pool for our tenants. When we contacted him he was forthright in explaining, over the phone, what problems may have resulted in the symptoms we explained, and we would not have known whether it was really the worst-case scenario or the much less expensive situation he found and remedied. We appreciate his honesty, reliability, willingness to come quickly, and his work ethic.
